HOW LONG ARE CHARTERS:
Full day fishing charters are approximately 6-8 hours.
HOW MANY PASSENGERS:
5 plus the captain however, Captain Rock can organize multi-boat trips
ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED:
YES! As a father, Captain Ryan takes introducing kids to fishing very seriously. He will do his best to have your kid wanting to spend more quality time with the family on the water. Captain Rock is patient with kids and will do his best to keep their lines tight as often as possible. Kids must be a minimum of 5 years old.
WHERE AND HOW WILL WE FISH:
Your fishing charter may be in Corpus Christi, the Laguna Madre, Baffin Bay, the Land cut, or Port Aransas depending on where Captain Rock feels you will have the most success. You may be using live bait, dead bait, or lures depending on your goals and what your full time professional Corpus Christi fishing guide believes will be most successful.
NO FISH NO PAY:
Captain Ryan Rock offers a no fish no pay policy under two conditions. First, there must be no restrictions as to where, when, or how we fish or what type of fish we fish for. i.e. if you tell Captain Ryan you only want to catch is redfish, Captain Rock won’t offer no fish no pay. The second condition is that you must follow the captain’s instructions. Captain Rock is a professional full time Corpus Christi fishing guide who has successfully taught hundreds of people how to catch fish.
WHAT KIND OF BOAT:
Capt. Rock is proud to run a 2016 23’ Warrior by Freedom Boats with a 7’ long casting deck and walking gunnels for maximum fishing room. The boat is powered by a 2016 250hp Suzuki SS which is known for its unstoppable reliability. With an 8’ power pole, Minn Kota iPilot remote controlled trolling motor and Garmin 840xs GPS/ Fish finder Captain Rock can control the boat perfectly so that you can catch more fish. The Warrior can float in just 7” of water allowing you to go anywhere on your guided fishing trip. The Warrior is a cat hull with sharp pontoons that allow you to not just go through the skinny water but get there smoothly, quickly, and dry as bay boats come. When the wind is high the Warrior can run in VERY shallow water allowing us to avoid the rough water.
We accept cash or credit cards. There is an additional 3.75% charge when paying via credit card. A $150 deposit is required to reserve your charter and the balance is due at the end of the charter. Captain Rock provides rods and reels at no extra cost however, if you break a rod or reel due to misuse you may be charged for a replacement.
Rates for tournaments MAY vary. Tournament fishing is not the same as normal fishing charters because you are in search of quality fish rather than quantity. If you are really wanting to win, Captain Ryan will go pre-fishing the day before to find tournament winning fish at an additional cost because Capt. Rock can’t usually run a charter the day before the tournament and look for the right fish. No fish No pay is not offered during tournaments.
Captain Ryan Rock reserves the right to cancel any trip due to inclement weather or circumstances beyond his control. Clients will receive a full refund or may reschedule their trip. If you need to cancel, a two week notice must be provided to the captain by phone call only in order to receive a full refund on your deposit.
You’ll be using live/dead bait or artificials/lures…your choice. Wade fishing and sightcasting trips for huge reds or large trout along the oyster reefs are very popular among many anglers.
Capt. Ryan has a 23′ Warrior by Freedom Boats with a 2016 Suzuki 250SS motor for the smoothest and driest ride possible! The boat is equipped with a Minn Kota iPilot trolling motor that is linked up to a Humminbird 990 GPS/side imaging combo. This system allows the captain to set the fishing route and focus on the customers catching fish!
CAPT. RYAN IS FIRST-AID CERTIFIED.
